Probate Administrator Assistant
We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join our Probate and Estate Administration team as a Probate Administrator Assistant in our Northampton office on a part time basis.
Candidates will need to be proactive and have strong administrative skills, an eye for detail, and an interest in probate procedures. Previous experience in a probate or legal environment is desirable but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
The role is part-time, allowing for a balance between work and personal commitments.
You will be involved in a range of tasks, from providing administrative support to managing the necessary paperwork and ensuring compliance with probate laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and submission of probate applications to the relevant authorities.
- Manage client files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and maintained.
- Liaise with clients, beneficiaries, and third-party agencies to gather necessary information and updates on estate matters.
- Prepare and manage correspondence related to probate matters, including letters, reports, and other documents.
- Assist with the collection and distribution of estate assets.
- Ensure compliance with relevant probate legislation and regulations.
- Support the senior probate administrators and partners with day-to-day tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in a probate or administration role, ideally within an accountancy firm or legal environment (preferred but not essential).
- Strong understanding of probate procedures and estate administration (or a keen willingness to learn).
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Trainee Accountant
We are currently looking for a school leaver to become a Trainee Accountant under the Apprenticeship scheme.
Candidates will require good Maths and English qualifications but will then be provided with study support to become AAT qualified.
Candidates will also need to live within commuting distance as this opportunity is predominantly based in the Northampton office.
A successful applicant will need to have strong communication skills, a desire to learn and be able to demonstrate that they care about their work and the clients that they assist.
